Brain “Pacemakers”!

brain-pacemakerThe December/January, 2009 issue of Scientific American Mind article “Sparking Recovery with Brain Pacemakers” describes how inserting electrodes into the brain brought miraculous results with a variety of serious ailments including Parkinson’s Disease, pain and depression. Included are dramatic videos showing patients in before and after conditions, for example, a man with severe Parkinson’s tremors.
